Housing program to provide financial assistance to homebuyers

Residents who have not already renewed online or in-person should renew their parking permit at the City of Cambridge's Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department in the City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway.

Cambridge residents can apply for or renew their dog’s license online or download the paper application and renew via mail or in person, following instructions on the respective form.

Please note that only certified copies of records are issued by the City Clerk's Office, regardless of intended use. BIRTH CERTIFICATE ORDERED ONLINE WILL BE MAILED WITHIN 10 BUSINESS DAYS

Get up close and personal with chickens! This program includes a chicken-themed story time and educational games about chicken behavior and anatomy. The highlight of the program is the Chicken Circle, where youth are able to touch and interact with live chickens. Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. This program will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather it will be inside the O'Neill Branch. Registration is required. When registering, please list how many children are attending. Join Gretchen Sisson, the author of Relinquished: The Politics of Adoption and the Privilege of American Motherhood (a finalist for the 2025 Book Critics Circle Award for nonfiction) in conversation with Cameron Russell, the author of How to Make Herself Agreeable to Everyone. Gretchen Sisson is a research sociologist at Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco, where she studies abortion and adoption in the United States. Her research was cited in the Supreme Court's dissent for Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, and has been covered in the Washington Post, TIME Magazine, The Nation, NPR, New York Magazine, VOX, Mother Jones, and many other outlets. In 2009, the City set a goal to reduce residential trash disposal by 30% by 2020, and by 80% by 2050. With that goal in mind, the City expanded curbside food waste pickup to all buildings with 1 to 12 units. 25,000 households (8,100 buildings) are now eligible to participate.

To achieve the goals of its Net Zero Action Plan and to encourage buildings subject to BEUDO to take steps to significantly reduce their energy use, the City conducted research, qualitative analysis, and stakeholder engagement to inform the development of a voluntary, comprehensive retrofit program.
