Basketball is a popular sport in Cambridge. Let’s improve our courts to make exercise more appealing and fun! This improvement project will resurface two neglected basketball courts, install new rims and nets, and repaint faded lines.

This event has been moved to the Learning Lab at the Main Library, located at 449 Broadway, due to the temporary closing of the Valente Branch. Just A Start (JAS) is planning to create new affordable rental housing on an existing JAS-controlled site located at 243 Broadway in the Port neighborhood. Known as Broadway Park, the site is currently an existing parking lot and will be developed in conjunction with another new JAS project, 37 Brookline Street, as a scattered-site affordable rental housing project. The new housing at both Broadway Park and 37 Brookline Street will be built to Passive House standards, ensuring maximum energy efficiency.

Let’s upgrade the Moses Youth Center! This project will add comfortable new furniture for the entire youth center, improve the gym storage for moveable equipment, and provide a new music studio for young people to use.

Combine your love for art and Spring, here at the Library! This art class will be a hybrid of indoor and outdoor time. Allowing you to get up close with trees and take artistic observations of your surroundings. All supplies will be provided but please bring any protective gear (hats, sunscreen, water) in the event of hot weather. Registration is required.

Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended on the holiday and will be one day behind for the remainder of the week. There will be no street cleaning on the Patriots Day holiday. Streets that would normally be cleaned on April 17 will instead be cleaned on April 12.
