Wednesdays of Wonder - W.O.W.! (O'Neill)
Come to the Library for games and a different activity each week! Kids of all ages can hang out and do crafts or STEAM activities. No registration required. This month we will be making masks.
Urban Cycling and the Law
This class is for those who have participated in a basic maintenance course, or understand basic bicycle maintenance. Our bicycle commuter workshops are great for businesses, communities, universities, or bike groups looking to promote healthy transportation options. The workshop is designed for people who know how to ride a bike, but would like to start using their bikes to ride to work, school, or clubs. Attendees receive safety hand outs, and the instructor will have materials on hand to demonstrate principles, as well as to answer any questions attendees may have.

Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings for Older Adults in Cambridge
The Cambridge Department of Public Health and the Council on Aging are offering free Blood Pressure Screenings for Cambridge residents 60 and older. Cambridge Public Health nurses will take your blood pressure and provide information about how to reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke.

The City of Cambridge is proposing a new Community Safety Department (CSD) that will coordinate community driven solutions to enhance safety in the community, with key services and programs targeted at our most vulnerable populations.
Brewery Book Club (Lamplighter)
You’re invited to our July Brewery Book Club, where Lamplighter and the Cambridge Public Library team up to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices while having a beer. We meet at Lamplighter Brewing Co., 284 Broadway, in the back taproom. This month we’ll read Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. The e-book and digital audiobook can be borrowed through the Libby app. We’ll gather in the Lamplighter back taproom to discuss the book, what we learned from it, what we found ourselves touched by, and all other thoughts. Cambridge STEAM Initiative Vision
The Cambridge STEAM Initiative envisions a day when Cambridge residents most impacted by systemic inequities have access to high quality STEAM programming, resources, and skill-building opportunities that will provide a pathway towards social and economic mobility.
CPL Nature Club: The Nature of Cambridge (Central Square)
Mass Audubon will lead an exploration around the library in search of plants and animals, while using scientific tools like binoculars and magnifying lenses to get a closer look. We'll record what we find in our nature journals and play nature games. All materials will be provided. In the instance of bad weather, this program will take place in the Children's Room. No registration required. This program is recommended for children 4-8 and their caregivers. Hosted by Mass Audubon and the Cambridge Public Library.
