The new North Cambridge Community Garden in the northeast corner of Russell Field will build community, provide healthy food, and promote wellness and environmental awareness.

Meet a swimming, quacking friend at a duck-themed story time, learn about duck behavior and anatomy, and do a themed activity! Best of all, in the Duck Circle, youth are able to touch and interact with a live duck. Due to the particularly fine weather, this program will meet in the Valente Reading Garden, at the corner of Cambridge Street and Berkshire Street. This program is for children of all ages, with a caregiver. Registration is required. When registering, please indicate how many children are attending. Join us for our Annual Housing Resource Fair and learn about housing services and your rights. City staff will provide informational materials and answer your questions about housing rights, affordable housing, financial assistance, eviction resources, and first-time homebuyer programs.

The Transit Advisory Committee provides advice to city staff on city and state projects related to transit. The Committee gives advice and input to the city on how to improve and promote public transportation. This includes the transit services of the MBTA, EZRide, and other shuttles in the city.

This year, the Cambridge Department of Public Works will recognize 4 employees who demonstrated exemplary work performance with the presentation of the "Commissioner's Award for Outstanding Performance" at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 21, at Public Works.
