The Community Development Department (CDD) has partnered with CultureHouse and the Cambridge Office for Tourism to activate the historic Kiosk in Harvard Square. The kiosk will be a community space featuring informational services and a variety of community programming.
City of Cambridge Announces Electric Vehicle Charging Pilot Program
The City of Cambridge announced a new Electric Vehicle Charging Pilot Program that will allow charging of electric vehicles (“EV”) across City sidewalks. The new charging pilot program provides residents without driveway access the opportunity to charge EVs across the public sidewalk by applying for a new Across Sidewalk Electric Vehicle Charging permit.
City of Cambridge Department of Veterans Services (DVS) Memorial Day Observance Event
DVS Director Cynthia Harris will emcee the observance event to commemorate the lives of our military members along with Cambridge Mayor E. Denise Simmons, Vice Mayor Marc McGovern, and City Councilor Ayesha M. Wilson, Co-Chair of the Human Services and Veterans Committee.
Youth Dungeons and Dragons Session 1/3 (Valente)
Youth ages 10-16 are welcome to join three sessions (Tuesdays, February 3, 10, 24) of the table-top game Dungeons and Dragons (DnD), as we build our cooperative role-play and storytelling skills. The first session will include time to build characters and review rules of gameplay. Following sessions will follow a storyline through to the final session. Registration is required, as the program is capped at 6 players. Please plan to attend all sessions! Registering for Session 1 includes the following weekly sessions. No prior DnD experience is required, and experienced players are also welcome to join. The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. We may provide auxiliary aids and services, written materials in alternative formats, and reasonable modifications in policies and procedures to people with disabilities. Chess Hour (Boudreau)
Join us for a chess challenge. Players of all skill levels and all ages are welcome to participate. Chess sets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. This is not an instructional class, but rather a gathering for individuals who want to play and test their skills against other members of the community. There's no need to register in advance - simply drop by and challenge yourself to improve your mastery of this classic game!
