The City of Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative and its partners is offering upcoming COVID-19 vaccine clinics. These clinics are free. No appointment is required, and you do not need insurance, an ID, or a social security number to get the vaccine. Getting a vaccine will NOT affect a public charge determination or immigration status.

The Baker-Polito Administration announced the expansion of the pre-registration to include some regional collaboratives and improved features to allow for vaccination location selection during appointment booking.

Beginning July 15, the playground at the main library, 441 Broadway, will be closed for repairs.

A beloved apple tree will sprout new life through the process of tree grafting and mature pin oaks will be transformed into interactive sculptures as part of a public art project from the firm IKD that is planned for the City of Cambridge’s Tobin Montessori and Vassal Lane Upper Schools complex.

New healthy PVC-free nap mats will help Cambridge preschoolers sleep safely! We will purchase 80 mats for programs still using old mats that are coated with PVC, a chemical associated with negative health effects. All kids in Cambridge preschools deserve a safe nap!

Create your very own one-page tabletop role playing game. In this two-session class, you will learn how to design your own game from scratch. We will cover themes, mechanics, and get started on making your idea a reality. No prior experience needed, all materials provided. Ages 10-14, registration required! The Broadway Safety Improvement Project Working group will be responsible for advising on the design and implementation of safety improvements on Broadway, including the installation of the separated bike lanes.

Families with elementary school age children join us for hands-on activities focused on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering, and Math. Adults and children will learn and play together! This month we will learn about pollinators with Cambridge Wildlife Arts. We will plant seeds and make bumblebee puppets! This program is a part of the CPL Nature Club.
