Put on your best royal outfit and join us for a special afternoon! Listen to a story, decorate a crown and dance to some royal music! This program is for children of all ages and their grown-ups. Registration is required; register below. When registering, please include the total number of children who will be attending the program as your number of attendees. Once your recycling is collected curbside in Cambridge, the City’s collection contractor drives the recycling to their recycling processor, Casella, located in Charlestown. In June 2023, Casella upgraded their processing facility with completely new equipment. The upgrades will accommodate trends in the recycling industry, and increase efficiency through the use of robotics, artificial intelligence. The Charlestown facility is among the largest in the US, processing up to 240,000 tons of recycling per year.

The Municipal Election will be held on November 4, 2025. Find information regarding voter registration, voting by mail, voting early in-person, voting on Election Day, and specimen ballots for the election. Additionally, learn more about the three ballots: City Council, School Committee, and the ballot question.

Join us at the Valente library for some dinosaur fun! It's your turn to be a paleontologist: use a chisel and brush to excavate your own tiny dinosaur. We'll play dinosaur trivia and look at dinosaur books! All supplies provided by the library. Recommended for ages 5+. Dinosaur coloring pages will be provided for younger children. Join our friends from New England Botanic Garden to create an upcycled press for preserving leaves and petals. We will also learn about the lifecycle changes from flower to fruit, and dissect a tulip. Recommended for age 7 and up with a caregiver.
