With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, please keep in mind that the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community is to celebrate with the members of your household. Cambridge NITES
Cambridge NITES aims to support the nightlife and entertainment industry in Cambridge. Grants support nightlife businesses in producing free, outdoor events around the city.
In Person Early Voting October 28 - November 3
Early voting is an opportunity to vote before Election Day. Any registered voter in Cambridge can vote during the early voting period, from Saturday, October 28, 2023 through Friday, November 3, 2023. Unlike Election Day, you are not assigned to a polling location. You can go to any of the Cambridge Early Voting Locations.
Live at the Library: Words of Affirmation Sewing Workshop (Main)
Using embroidery hoops, participants will hand-stitch words of affirmation while learning basic sewing techniques. The workshop begins with a short conversation about sewing traditions across cultures, followed by guided demonstrations and hands-on practice. Recommended for ages 8+.
Information on Volunteering in the Massachusetts COVID-19 Vaccine Effort
As COVID-19 vaccination efforts continue to ramp up in the Commonwealth, we are working to match both clinical and non-clinical volunteers to vaccination sites where they can offer important assistance based on site specific needs We are also building lists of potential volunteers to maximize overall response efforts.
Digital Navigator Program
Digital Navigators provide one-on-one support to help patrons use digital devices and services. Eligible community members can receive free laptops and internet hotspots.
Volunteer Attorneys Needed for Cambridge Immigration Legal Screening Clinic
The Clinic is held virtually on the third Wednesday of every month. Callers leave a message with their information. De Novo staff screen the messages and assign callers to volunteer attorneys based on practice area and language, when possible. Volunteer attorneys then provide brief advice, screen for immigration legal needs, and refer to additional legal resources if appropriate. De Novo immigration attorneys provide supervisory support.
