The slide replacement and related rubber surfacing repair is now complete.
Construction at the Clarendon Avenue Playground is now complete and the park has re-opened for use.
The park features an improved entry plaza and seating area. The improved park also includes a greater variety of play opportunities with the addition of swings, a water table to accompany the relocated sand play area, and the loose play materials to encourage creative play. Other features include the addition of new site furniture, a new rubberized surface and shade structure, and additional site plantings.
Following the City’s Temporary Emergency Construction Moratorium Order related to COVID-19 and subsequent amendments, construction activity at the Clarendon Avenue Playground has now resumed. The project is now expected to be completed in Fall 2020.
Due to delays in shipping of playground equipment, the playground is now expected to be completed by July 2020.
Regular project updates, when available, will be posted here: DPW's City Construction Projects.
