Play Streets will kick things off at 5 p.m. on Temple Street for families and people of all ages. Music will start at 6 p.m.
This year's theme is Revolutionary Reunion 250, celebrating 250 Years of Revolutiion.
This event is rain or shine, free, and open to the public.
Take the MBTA Red Line to Central Square and Cambridge City Hall is two blocks away. Party-goers, who bicycle to the event, will be able to check their bikes at one of the two bike valet locations at either end of the closed sections of Mass Ave.
The dance extravaganza with DJ spun music is a special opportunity for the entire Cambridge community to celebrate the beginning of summer. After dark, colorful lights will be launched, adding to the magic of the evening.
This year’s event is once again organized by the City Manager’s Office, Cambridge Arts, and the Central Square BID, with support from numerous city departments.
