The City Manager’s Office of the Housing Liaison, Community Development Department, Human Rights Commission and the Department of Human Service Programs have launched Housed In Cambridge: Information to Open Doors, a city-wide campaign designed to educate and inform residents on housing opportunities and housing related resources and services.
A goal of Housed in Cambridge is to help centralize the many housing resources available in Cambridge. This campaign will include interactive trainings, tools, and events throughout the year, aiming to:
- Improve and enhance residents’ knowledge of affordable housing programs, services, and resources.
- Increase and expand access to housing related information and resources for the residents of Cambridge.
- Enhance and expand opportunities for interdepartmental collaborations to support and promote housing related initiatives.
Online Guide Now Available
Housed In Cambridge is excited to announce an interactive, online guide to help users navigate Cambridge housing and service providers, and the resources they offer. The information is organized around six key themes: affordable housing, emergency housing, housing rights, legal and mediation services, safe & healthy homes, and financial assistance.
This online guide was adapted from the information presented at the Fair and Affordable Housing Open House, a one-day event hosted annually from 2016-2019 that convened dozens of City agencies and non-profit housing providers together to share information about their housing-related programs and services.
