Cambridge Hosts its 3rd Annual Supplier Diversity Fair

graphic that shows an image of 3 professionals - a black woman, a caucasian woman caterer, and woman construction worker.

In 2023, Cambridge published the results of a Disparity Study. This study reviewed data to determine if race or gender acts as a disadvantage to businesses who want to sell goods or services to the City. Cambridge wants to buy goods and services from a variety of businesses. More competition leads to better prices and higher quality goods and services for the City.

The results of this study revealed a major imbalance. It showed that minority, women, and veteran owned businesses were underutilized. These businesses experience unique challenges when trying to connect with buyers and market themselves to the City.

We help these underutilized businesses succeed by providing more opportunity to do business with us. Through the Cambridge Supplier Diversity Program, we provide resources to prepare businesses to bid on contracts. We also host events to connect diverse businesses to buyers in City Departments.

On Monday, October 20, 2025, Cambridge hosts its annual Supplier Diversity Fair with buyers from all City departments including Community Development, Public Works, School, Police, and Human Services. Diverse businesses that provide the following goods and services are invited to attend:

  • Facilities & Janitorial
  • Landscaping & Snow removal
  • Catering
  • Printing & Graphic Design
  • Consulting (IT, marketing, event planning, specialized services, etc.)

Registration is required and free! Businesses do not have to be certified to participate.
