The Cambridge Summer Food Program provides free meals and fun to Cambridge children and youth! Every weekday beginning Tuesday, July 5, 2022, free breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals will be available at Summer Food locations across the city.
- Open to all Cambridge residents ages 18 and under
- No identification required to get a meal
- Vegetarian options available at every location
- Meals can be eaten on-site or taken off-site to eat later
During breakfast and lunch hours, children and youth can join Recreation staff for fun in the parks - including whiffle ball, kick ball, board games, sidewalk chalk, and more. Cambridge Book Bike will also visit breakfast and lunch locations for weekly story time and book exploration.
Free dinner meals will be served at DHSP Summer Basketball League locations. Cambridge children and youth do not need to participate in the leagues to receive a dinner meal. Free snacks will also be available to children and families who attend Screen on the Green Family Movie nights.
Meal times and locations are listed below and on the Summer Food Program flyer.
The Summer Food Program also provides meals to eligible summer camps and community programs.
Weather Impacts: Summer food sites may be canceled due to rain or dangerous weather. Cancelations will be announced on the Department of Human Service Programs’ Twitter and Facebook accounts.
