The Cambridge Summer Food Program provides free meals and fun to Cambridge children and youth. The 2023 Summer Food Program will begin on Monday, June 26. Monday through Friday, free breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals will be available at Summer Food locations across the city (see schedule below).

  • Open to all Cambridge residents ages 18 and under
  • No identification required to get a meal
  • Vegetarian options available at every location
  • Join Recreation staff for games and activities in the parks
  • Cambridge Book Bike brings story time to a Summer Food site each week

Free dinner meals are served at DHSP Summer Basketball locations while leagues are in session. Cambridge children and youth do not need to participate in the leagues to receive a dinner meal. The program also provides free snacks to families who attend Screen on the Green Family Summer Movie nights and meals to eligible summer camps and community programs.
