Summer Food Program

Human Service Programs

The Cambridge Summer Food Program aims to increase food security in Cambridge by providing free and nutritionally balanced meals to Cambridge residents ages 18 and under. No ID is required to pick up meals and there are vegetarian and non-vegetarian options offered at all meal sites.

The 2021 Cambridge Summer Food Program will operate Monday through Friday, June 28 – September 3, 2021. Breakfast and lunch meals can be picked up at locations across the city between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

DHSP's Recreation Division hosts fun activities - including whiffle ball, kick ball, board games, sidewalk chalk, and more - at parks located next to the meal sites. Cambridge children and youth can join the outdoor activities between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. every weekday.

Free dinner meals were provided during Cambridge Summer Basketball Leagues, which ended the week of August 16th.

In addition to the sites listed below and open to the public, the Summer Food Program provides meals to summer camps operated in the Cambridge Youth Centers and Cambridge Schools.
