Description
By order of Her Honor, Mayor E. Denise Simmons, acting in according with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30A, Section 21(a)(7) to comply with or act under the authority of M.G.L.c 30A, Section 22 (f) and (g) there will be Special Meeting of the School Committee on Tuesday, December 2 at 5:00 p.m. held in and broadcast from the Dr. Henrietta S. Attles Meeting Room, Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, 459 Broadway, for the purpose to entertain a motion to convene in Executive Session to review and approve minutes from Executive Sessions held during the period of February 2024 through October 2025 for the following purposes:
• To conduct a strategy session in preparation for contract negotiations with nonunion personnel (Superintendent) as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating positions of the School Committee.
• To discuss strategy for contract negotiations with nonunion personnel (Interim Superintendent) as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating positions of the School Committee
• To hear a Level III grievance (AFSCME Council 93 Local 1611) as part of collective bargaining as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining and litigation positions of the School Committee.
• To hear two Level III grievances (CEA Units A&B) as part of collective bargaining as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining and litigation positions of the School Committee.
• To discuss strategy for impact bargaining as part of collective bargaining (CEA Units A&B, C, D and E)
• To discuss charges brought against the Cambridge School Committee with respect to the December 6, 2024 and January 12, 2025 open meeting law complaints
