CAMBRIDGE HISTORICAL COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that a public meeting will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 6:00PM to consider the following matters under M.G.L. Ch. 40C and Ch. 2.78 of the Code of the City of Cambridge:

PLEASE NOTE: Due to statewide emergency actions limiting the size of public gatherings in response to COVID-19, this meeting will be held online with remote participation and will be closed to in-person attendance. The public may participate online via the Zoom webinar platform (https://zoom.us/) from a phone, tablet, or computer. Check your email junk folder if you do not receive a confirmation in your inbox. All case materials are available on the Project Plans and Staff Reports page of the CHC’s website. Written comment is welcome up to 24 hours before the meeting and may be sent to histcomm@cambridgema.gov. Case L-133: 137 Allston St., Saint Augustine’s African Orthodox Church. Consider staff report and make recommendation to City Council.

Public Hearings: Alterations to Designated Properties

Case 4472: 185 Charles St., by Vipul Chitalia. Construct rear addition.

Case 4473: 40 Willard St., by Cambridge Skating Club. Replace outdoor lighting fixtures.

Public Hearings: Demolition Review

Case D-1563 (continued): 25 Jackson St., by 25 Jackson Street LLC c/o DND Homes LLC. Demolish house (1874); review revised replacement proposal.

Case D-1568: 46-50 Jay St., by Janet Williams. Substantially demolish existing 3-family house (1887).

Cases may be taken out of order and approved at the beginning of the meeting. Persons who wish to have a hearing on a case should notify the Commission in advance or be present at the beginning of the meeting when the Consent Agenda will be discussed.
