Description

Calendar event image

Cover stains, refreshed faded clothes, and give your garments a new life with a community dye bath with Gather Here. Their dyes are natural and fiber reactive - meaning they work on natural fabrics only: cotton, rayon, linen, silk, modal, bamboo. Be sure no more than 20-40% polyester, or the dye will not take. You can resist dye (think tie-dye), eco-print, or just do some immersion dyeing. Make sure you bring a bag to take home your wet textiles. This event is free and open to all.

This event is sponsored in part by the Cambridge Plays grant program. The purpose of Cambridge Plays is to encourage people to enjoy our vibrant commercial areas. The Community Development Department partners with local businesses and nonprofits to provide free outdoor activities across the city. For more information, visit: www.cambridgema.gov/plays.
