Project Review and Discussion

  • Planning Board Formula Business Special Permit Application – 425 Massachusetts Avenue (StretchMed)

The Applicant is planning to apply to the Planning Board for a StretchMed located at 425 Mass Ave in Market Central. Fitness Centers (Section 4.35.i-2) are an allowed use in this location, but all Formula Businesses within the Central Square Overlay District require a Planning Board Special Permit. New signage is proposed. Planning Board Special Permits within the Central Square Overlay District require review by CSAC. In considering applications for Special Permits for Formula Businesses, the Planning Board shall find that the requirements of Section 20.305.4 are met. CSAC will review the application and prepare a recommendation to be submitted to the Planning Board.

    Hold for staff from the Community Development Department (CDD) to share relevant information about Central Square.

     

  • Committee Member Updates

    Hold for members of CSAC to share relevant information about Central Square.

     

  • Update on Net Zero Transportation Plan

The City of Cambridge is creating a Net Zero Transportation Plan (NZTP). This plan will help remove greenhouse gas emissions from transportation in Cambridge. It will help our community fight climate change.

 

At this meeting with CSAC, CDD staff will share information about the plan and get feedback from the committee.
