Re:                   Preliminary Agenda

The next meeting of the Cambridge Historical Commission will be on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. This meeting will be held online with remote participation. Submit written comment to histcomm@cambridgema.gov prior to 24 hours before the meeting.

Note that cases may be taken out of order and approved at the beginning of the meeting as part of a Consent Agenda. Persons who wish to have a hearing on a case should notify the Commission in advance or be present at the beginning of the meeting when the Consent Agenda will be discussed.

1.         Public Hearings: Alterations to Designated Properties

Case 5325: 4 Berkeley St., by Sowing Seeds LLC. Alter fences, paths and driveway. Install sign.

Case 5326: 17 Story St. (aka 127 Mt Auburn St.) and 129 Mt Auburn St., by 17 Story Street, LLC. Relocate and restore house (17 Story). Demolish 3-decker (129 Mt. Auburn). Construct hotel and residential building.

2.         Public Hearing: Landmark Designation Proceedings

Case L-148: 17 Story St. (aka 127 Mt Auburn St.) Consider petition to initiate a landmark study of the Harriet Jacobs house.
