Description

A community meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in the Cambridge Senior Center at 806 Massachusetts Avenue to discuss an early Thanksgiving morning shooting in the area of 10 Magazine Street in Central Square. A 27-year-old woman was tragically killed and a 26-year-old male suffered non-life threatening injuries. 

The meeting will include representatives of the City Manager’s Office, Mayor’s Office, City Council, Cambridge Police Department, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Central Square Church, Central Square Business Improvement District, My Brother’s Keeper Cambridge and Riverside Trauma Center. Representatives will share the latest information on the shooting, the investigation, answer any questions, and support will be provided by staff from the Riverside Trauma Center.

Assisted listening devices, interpretation services, and CART/open captioning will be provided. Food and light refreshments will be available starting at 6 p.m. and the meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. To register and join the meeting virtually, community members can visit camb.ma/communitymeeting2023.
