Description

The Community Development Department will hold an Advisory Development Consultation - Large Project Review meeting per Section 19.43 of the Cambridge Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the Large Project Review Procedure is for abutters and the general public, as well as city staff, to review and comment on proposals in Areas of Special Planning Concern.

Project Location: 1 Cedar Street, Cambridge, MA.

Area of Special Planning Concern: Massachusetts Avenue Overlay District.

Proposal: To demolish an existing structure and construct a 3-story mixed-use building containing 8 dwelling units, a veteran’s club, and 8 off-street parking spaces. The Board of Zoning Appeal has granted a variance for relief from side yard setbacks as well as special permits for reduction of required parking and location of parking spaces within 10 feet from building walls.

PLEASE NOTE: This meeting will be held remotely in accordance with Section 20 of Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, signed into law on June 16, 2021.
