Join OLLIE at the Cambridge Public Library for a live broadcast of deep-sea exploration!

Tag along as NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution explore shipwrecks lying on the seafloor of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary in Massachusetts Bay.

This live interaction, projected on the outside of OLLIE's virtual submarine, will connect you to the expedition scientists who study the communities of marine life that make shipwrecks their home. Additionally, you will learn the stories behind these shipwrecks by visiting them on the seafloor.

The shipwreck targets include the coal schooners Frank A. Palmer and Louise B. Crary. These wrecks not only provide a window into the region's rich maritime history, they're also home to a vast number of marine species that contribute to the sanctuary's biological communities.

In addition to hearing from the scientists behind the biological and archeological research aboard the Research Vessel (R/V) Connecticut, you have the opportunity to connect with the team who are using a variety of innovative marine technologies during this expedition.

During and after the broadcast, explore other parts of the ocean world inside OLLIE's traveling virtual submarine!
