Cambridge Youth Bluebikes Celebration and Group Bike Ride

Cambridge youth, make the most of your April vacation week! Come learn about a fun and easy way to get around town this spring.

The Bluebikes Youth Cambridge Rock 'N Ride takes place at Joan Lorentz Park at 449 Broadway, right outside the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch.
 

This is an opportunity to take test rides* around the park with friends on your own time and see how great the bikes are. If this isn’t enough motivation to join us, there will also be music, giveaways, games, snacks, and fun! This event is FREE and open to all ages, with a focus on young people.

Want to try the bikes out for an hour? Join our group ride, which leaves promptly at 1:00PM!**

  • Wednesday, April 17, 2019
  • Event: 12:00PM to 6:00PM
  • Group ride: 1:00PM**

  • Outside of the main branch of the Cambridge Public Library

Are you a high school student between the ages of 16-19 who lives in Cambridge? If so, you are eligible for a discounted Bluebikes membership through the City of Cambridge. Regularly $99, an annual membership costs you only $25 through this program. Contact transportation@cambridgema.gov with name, birthdate, address, and school for more information.

*If you would like to ride a Bluebike at this event and are under the age of 18 you are REQUIRED to bring this waiver signed by a parent/guardian with you to the event along with a valid ID

**If you would like to participate in the group ride starting at 1:00 pm you MUST RSVP on Eventbrite.*** The group ride will be an 8-mile bike ride led by Massbike. You will ride through Cambridge, along the Charles River, and past Harvard Square on Bluebikes.

*** You will be provided with a bike and helmet ONLY if you register through Eventbrite. There are limited spots so please only RSVP if you for sure plan on participating.
