2023 City Nature Challenge at Fresh Pond

Meets at the Water Treatment Plant (front door), 250 Fresh Pond Parkway – then we’ll head out on-foot

We’re Getting Ready for the 2023 City Biodiversity Challenge! Between April 28th and May 1st, many cities across the world will be competing to see who can make the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people in the worldwide 2023 City Nature Challenge (CNC). All you need to bring is yourself and a smartphone with the free iNaturalist app downloaded. In partnership with Earthwise Aware, we will help document the diversity of species at Fresh Pond’s Lusitania Meadow for researchers to use nationwide. We’re also looking for groups of volunteers to help out! Contact Ranger Tim at tpuopolo@cambridgeMA.gov
