Description

Calendar event imageDid you know that in the 1970’s, Inman Square was home to many women-owned businesses and organizations like a restaurant and cultural center, health center, law collective, credit union, and a craft collective? Or that one of the nation’s first feminist bookstores thrived at 186 Hampshire Street for more than 25 years?

Join us on Thursday, September 19 for a walking tour of Mapping Feminist Cambridge: Inman Square, a guide that highlights feminist history along Hampshire Street from the 1970s to 1990s.

Meet at the intersection of Plymouth and Windsor Streets/Jutta Elsa Georgi Callinan Square (next to 91 Hampshire Street). The tour is about one hour and 15 minutes.

Free and open to the public - register here.
