Description

The City's Human Rights Commission and LGBTQ+ Commission are holding a Gender Identity & the Law: Public Accommodations training for businesses on how to comply with the state’s gender identity non-discrimination law in places of public accommodation, as well as best practices for maintaining inclusive environments regardless of one’s gender identity.

This training is open to all businesses.

Effective Oct. 1, 2016, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts prohibits discrimination based on gender identity in places of Public Accommodation.  A place of public accommodation as defined in M.G.L.c. 272 92A includes any place open to and serving the public.
