The Hip Hop Transformation (THHT) is an award-winning program for youth between the ages of 14-18 offered by the Cambridge Community Center in partnership with The Bridge Sound and Stage, the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program, and the Cambridge Safety Net Collaborative. THHT teaches teens the history of hip hop culture, the role hip hop culture plays in their lives and society, and equips students with the resource and support to produce, write, record, perform, and distribute their own authentic hip hop music.

Become familiarized with the basics of the equipment and software in these tools. Contribute to our community-generated media project and become badged to use these spaces for your own projects.

Please join us to celebrate the opening of The Hive, an important milestone in the Cambridge STEAM Initiative, a partnership between the City’s Department of Human Service, the Library, and the Cambridge Public Schools. The STEAM Initiative was created to foster equity and expand access to quality STEAM learning experiences from birth to adulthood.
Funding has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library, Cambridge Trust Company, the Eric and Jane Nord Family Fund, Google, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, the Massachusetts Library Association, Richard Miner and Corinne Nagy, and Verizon.

Interested in making your own vinyl stickers? Learn the fundamentals of using Google Drawings to design and edit images for customized stickers. You'll also be introduced briefly to our in-house vinyl cutter machine.
Google Drawings is a free web-based application. Basic computer skills are necessary for this course. Computing devices are available: Takeout Technology.
