The Cambridge Consumers’ Council will be helping residents safely dispose of unwanted records at a free document shredding event Saturday, September 18, from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue.

Join author Kaija Langley and the Cambridge Public Library for a story time outside the Main Library in Joan Lorentz Park. Kaija will read her new book When Langston Dances (Denene Millner Books/Simon & Schuster, 2021) and will be available for questions. Books will not be for sale at the event, but Kaija will sign personal copies purchased in advance. In the event of inclement weather, this program will move indoors to the Children's Room. For children of all ages and their caregivers.

Interested in podcasting, audio production or video production? The Hive is home to two state-of-the-art recording studios. Become familiarized with the basics of the equipment and software in these tools. Contribute to our community-generated media project and become badged to use these spaces for your own projects.

Are you a badged Hive maker buzzing with project ideas? During "Equipment and Studio Reservations" you are welcome to reserve any equipment or studio spaces you are badged on. Staff will assist makers as they are able.
