    • Outdoor Story Time (Central Square)

      Central Square Branch, 45 Pearl St., Cambridge, MA 02139

      Join us for a half-hour of stories in the plaza outside the Central Square Branch Library, Franklin Street side, weather permitting. For ages birth-5 with caregivers.

    • Outdoor Songs and Stories (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Put on your dancing shoes and head over to the Main Library! We'll sing and move together, and share a story or two. Children of all ages and their grown-ups. This program will be held in Joan Lorentz Park on the lawn outside the Main Library. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled. Please call 617-349-4038 for more information.

    • Outdoor Story Time (O'Neill)

      O'Neill Branch, 70 Rindge Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140

      We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories and rhymes. This program will be held outside the O'Neill Branch Library. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled. Please call 617-349-4023 for more information.

    • Equipment and Studio Reservations (Main)

      During this reservation period, anyone who has completed Hive training and is badged to use equipment or studio(s) can reserve Hive equipment or studio spaces. Staff will assist participants as they are able.

      We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories and rhymes, with a craft to take and make at home, while supplies last. No registration is required. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled. Please call (617) 349-4019 for location and details.

    • Family Story Time (Virtual)

      Online,

      We invite children and their grownups to join us from home for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories, and rhymes. Caregivers are asked to participate in the program with their children--it will be as important as ever to model movement and song for your little one during this virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around! Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. Virtual Family Story Time is free and open to the public and is not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.

    • Hive Safety Training and Glowforge 101 (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Are you interested in using The Hive? In this workshop you will learn about our makerspace, how to utilize the resources we offer and how to keep safe in The Hive. You will also create your Hive badge ID using our Glowforge laser cutter and learn how to utilize this piece of equipment to cut and engrave your own creations. Find out what you need to get started as a maker in The Hive here. Completion of Hive Safety Training is the entry point to making, innovating, and collaborating in this space. Makers must also sign The Hive User Agreement and Waivers.
