    • Hive Safety Training

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Are you interested in using The Hive? In this workshop you will learn about our makerspace, how to utilize the resources we offer and how to keep safe in The Hive. Find out what you need to get started as a maker in The Hive here. Completion of Hive Safety Training is the entry point to making, innovating, and collaborating in this space. Makers must also sign The Hive User Agreement and Waivers. The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. We may provide auxiliary aids and services, written materials in alternative formats, and reasonable modifications in policies and procedures to people with disabilities.     • Beginners’ Mandarin Class (Main)

      Main Library, Community Room, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Come to the Library and learn the second most-spoken language in the world! This class, taught by Sunling Liew—an experienced Chinese-language instructor of the Ming Hui Academy Boston—is designed for beginners. No testing or experience is needed, but registration is required. The class sessions are as follows: Saturday, October 14, 2023 Saturday, October 21, 2023 Saturday, October 28, 2023 Saturday, November 4, 2023 Saturday, November 18, 2023 Saturday, December 2, 2023 Saturday, December 9, 2023 Saturday, December 16, 2023 It is strongly encouraged that any interested parties register for ALL of the class dates offered; the lessons build upon one another.
