The Cambridge Public Health Department is introducing weekly COVID-19 vaccine clinics for the Cambridge community:

  • Wednesdays, April 6 -August 10
  • 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Cambridge Public Health Department, 119 Windsor Street, 2nd Floor, Cambridge
  • By appointment only

The clinics will offer free COVID-19 vaccines (first, second, and booster doses). Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available to those who are eligible.

  • *Appointments can be made at https://bit.ly/Camb-Color
  • Residents ages 5 and older are eligible to be vaccinated.
  • A parent or guardian must accompany children and teens who are under age 16.
  • Teens aged 16 - 17 may come alone if a parent or guardian has completed a consent form via the online registration system.
  • You do not need insurance, a social security number, or an ID.

The Cambridge Public Health Department strongly recommends a booster dose for those who are eligible. Boosters provide the best protection against the Omicron variant that is circulating in the community.

You are eligible for a booster if:

  • You have completed your primary COVID-19 vaccine series (2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson); and
  • It has been at least 5 months since your 2nd dose of Pfizer or Moderna or at least 2 months since your Johnson & Johnson vaccination.

On March 29, 2022, CDC revised its recommendations to allow individuals age 50+ and certain immunocompromised individuals to receive a second booster shot. More information can be found here. Second booster shots for eligible residents will be available at the Windsor Street clinics; *please note that the registration system is being updated to allow registration for these types of appointments.

People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised should receive an additional vaccine dose as part of their primary vaccine series. Detailed information about vaccines and boosters for adults and children who are immunocompromised can be found on the CDC website.

Medical staff will be available at the clinics to address questions or concerns about the vaccines.
