The City Clerk is the official record keeper for the City of Cambridge.
The City Clerk’s Office oversees two permanent record collections: Vital Statistics, (including birth, marriage, and death records beginning in the early 1800s, along with domestic partnerships, business, and professional certificates), and Legislative Records dating as far back as 1630 when Cambridge was first established as a town.
