Cambridge Youth Programs

Cambridge Youth Programs (CYP) offers year-round, high-quality programming for pre-teens, middle schoolers, and teens at five Youth Centers across Cambridge. CYP's purpose is to provide Cambridge youth and teens with a just, joyful and caring community where they forge healthy relationships, discover who they are, and develop new skills.

CYP’s diverse, multi-talented staff provides direct service, enrichment opportunities, and mentorship to young people. Programming is offered Monday-Friday during afterschool hours, school vacation weeks, and summer programs at our state-of-the art Youth Centers, which include classroom space, meeting rooms, gymnasiums, kitchens and easy access to park. CYP Pre-teen / Middle School Afterschool Programs

CYP offeres afterschool programs to Cambridge youth in 4th - 8th grade at Frisoli, Gately, Moore, and Russell Youth Centers. Programs focus on creating community, connecting with peers and staff, building leadership skills, and exploring fun activities. Youth can participate 2, 3 or 5 times a week. Program cost is affordable (based on family income) and free for 6-8th graders. Programs run September - June. 

The deadline to apply to a Youth Center pre-teen / middle school afterschool program through the the 2023-2024 DHSP Afterschool Programs Lottery was May 26. Applications received after that date will automatically be added to the waiting pool. Apply to the DHSP Afterschool Programs Lottery
