Expect weekend road closures and traffic impacts due to special events in the Port, East Cambridge, and Inman Square on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21:
The Port Arts Fest: Saturday, May 20, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Community Art Center, 119 Windsor St. This free neighborhood event features live music and performances, live mural painting, food trucks, fun activities, and local artists.
- Road Closure: Windsor Street will close between Harvard Street and Main Street from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Spring Community Bike Ride 2023: Saturday, May 20, 9 a.m. to noon. This bike ride begins and ends at the Cambridge Main Library/Joan Lorentz Park at 449 Broadway. This free bike ride is open to all and will last about two hours, including a midway break.
- No scheduled road closures, but be aware that there will be a large group of people biking, escorted by the Cambridge Police Department's bike patrol.
Cambridge-Somerville Asian Festival: Saturday, May 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Foundry, 101 Rogers St. This family-friendly celebration honoring AAPI Heritage Month will include dance and music performances, art activities, karaoke, vendors, Asian catering, and cookies with Cambridge City Manager Yi-An Huang.
- Road Closure: Rogers Street will close in front of The Foundry from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wild Rabbit Community Moto Show: Saturday, May 20, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Naco Taco, 297 Massachusetts Ave. This event will feature a motorcycle competition, games, raffles, vendors, tacos, dancing, and a live DJ.
- Road Closure: State Street will close between Massachusetts Avenue and Windsor Street.
Inman Eats and Crafts 2023: Sunday, May 21, noon to 4 p.m. in Inman Square, 1310 Cambridge St. The East Cambridge Business Association hosts a street fair returning vendors, music, artists, food, and a beer garden.
- Road Closure: Cambridge Street will close between Prospect Street and Springfield Street between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
