  • Fair Housing Listening Session

    The Cambridge Human Rights Commission will participate in a Fair Housing Listening Session, in conjunction with the Community Development Department’s Housing Division, on Monday, March 2, at 6:00 PM in the Valente Branch Library, Program Room located at 826 Cambridge Street. Fair Housing laws protect people from discrimination when they are renting or buying a home, getting a mortgage, seeking housing assistance, or engaging in housing-related activities. CDD/Housing and CHRC invite you to share your experiences with fair housing in Cambridge. Information gathered will help the City better understand barriers to fair housing so that these issues can be considered as part of the City’s planning for use of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding in future years.

  • EF Glocal Challenge Winners Announced

    The EF Glocal Challenge was founded by EF Education First in 2012 and is now in its 8th year. The Challenge is a contest-based program facilitated by EF Education First, the City of Cambridge, and the Cambridge Public Schools to help high school students learn critical 21st Century Skills, gain global competence, and receive real-world experience in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). Each year, we ask Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) students to solve a challenge locally in Cambridge that has global implications.

  • Contributions Sought for the Warm Hearts Warm Feet Sock Drive Feb. 3-14

    The “Warm Hearts for Warm Feet Wool Sock Drive” is continuing for the third year in a row. From February 3 through 14, residents can drop of new pairs of wool socks to Cambridge City Hall at 795 Massachusetts Ave or Cambridge Police Headquarters at 125 Sixth St.
