Short Description: Let's upgrade the Moses Youth Center! This project will add comfortable new furniture for the entire youth center, improve the gym storage for moveable equipment, and provide a new music studio for young people to use.
Long Description:
The Moses Youth center is a central community space for young people in Cambridge. From supporting summer internship programming, to providing an indoor gym for the winter, to being a place for teens to gather, it is a heavily used part of Cambridge. Having served Cambridge youth for so many years, the youth center is in need of an upgrade.
This project will fund the purchase of new furniture for the entire youth center, replacing old and worn out chairs and tables to provide a more comfortable and safe space for teens. This proposal will also provide funding for a new music studio to be installed in the youth center, providing a space for young people to create music! And lastly, this project will also support improvements to the gym storage space to allow for a wider range of moveable gym equipment to be stored.
