An analysis of the serious crime statistics for the first four months of 2025 points to a significant increase of 20% in the Part One index total for Cambridge when compared with 2024. During the first four months of the year, there were 1,071 serious crimes reported in the City. For the same time period in 2024, the combined total for Murder, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Larceny & Auto theft was 894 incidents.
