An analysis of the serious crime statistics for the first quarter of 2025 points to a significant increase of 25% in the Part One index total for Cambridge when compared with 2024. During the first three months of the year, there were 829 serious crimes reported in the City. For the same time period in 2024, the combined total for Murder, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Larceny & Auto theft was 665 incidents.
