Thursday, May 11, 2023 marks the expiration of the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) that was first declared at both the state and federal levels in 2020. This signals a number of changes, including changes to COVID-19 data reporting.

Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Louis A. DePasquale announced the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund has distributed nearly $1 million to 629 Cambridge residents and families financially impacted by the COVID-19 public health crisis. Residents who are hoping to receive assistance from the Fund must apply by 5:00 p.m. on May 15.

The City of Cambridge and the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (CRA) have announced new initiatives that together will provide approximately $3.6 million in support to Cambridge small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
