The City of Cambridge continues to observe Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 10, 2022

Following a thorough safety review, including two meetings of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have determined that the recommended pause regarding the use of the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 Vaccine in the U.S. should be lifted and use of the vaccine should resume.

"What would you say to Time if you got the chance?” Michael Talbot asks in his new exhibition, “Conversations With Time,” at Cambridge Arts’ Gallery 344 from Nov. 17, 2025, to Jan. 16, 2026. Join us for an opening reception on Nov. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a poetry reading at 6 p.m. Admission to all events is always free.

Library trustees are volunteer community representatives, library advocates, and leaders in the establishment of goals and policies for the Cambridge Public Library system. The rapidly spreading Omicron variant is expected to cause a steep increase in COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations in Massachusetts over the coming weeks. Activities that were thought to be reasonably safe for vaccinated people a few months ago now carry greater risk. Given the very high transmissibility of Omicron, the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) urges residents to observe several recommendations.
