Unveiling of Native Spaces - Indigenous Street Signs Project
The City of Cambridge and members of the local Massachusett tribe will unveil newly installed street signs in East Cambridge that will be presented in both the Massachusett and English languages. District Attorney Announces Arrest of Edward J. Watson in 1992 Cold Case Murder of Michelle Miller
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Christine Elow announced today that thirty-two years after the crime occurred, Edward J. Watson, 65, of Mattapan, has been arrested for the murder of Michelle Miller. Miller, a former U.S. Army soldier was 29 years old when she was last seen alive in Central Square, Cambridge. Her body was found in the basement of a vacant apartment two weeks later, when a neighbor complained of a foul odor.

There is strong evidence that benches are needed, especially along Mass. Ave. in North Cambridge. While there are some bus shelters along the way, the seating in these shelters is minimal, allowing two people at most to sit or one person with their bundles.
