Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join. The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our February meeting, we will discuss The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. Attendees are invited to choose between reading the original text, the illustrated edition, the graphic adaptation, or watching the film version of this book! This work is available in many different formats. Copies of the print book, the illustrated edition, the graphic adaptation, and the DVD are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. This event has been postponed to a future date. Led by a Minuteman Senior Services state-certified Medicare benefits counselor, this program is for people who are turning 65 or leaving an employer group health plan due to retirement. Topics include Medicare benefits and coverage gaps, when to apply for Medicare, how to apply for Medicare, health insurance plans that work with Medicare, understanding premiums, deductibles and maximum out of pocket costs, and choosing the right supplement plan. It also covers special considerations and the consequences of not enrolling at the right time. Registration is requested but not required.

Celebrate one year of the Cambridge KiOSK with an afternoon of live music, participatory activities, and community gathering in Harvard Square. The event will mark the KiOSK’s first year as a site for visitor information, cultural programming, and community connection. Visitors are welcome to stop by throughout the afternoon. Program schedule: 12:00–3:00 PM: Participatory activities, including screenprinting and a seedling exchange 3:00–4:00 PM: Cambridge Symphony Orchestra ensemble performance 4:00–5:00 PM: Reception recognizing the artists, organizations, community members, and visitors who have helped shape the KiOSK’s first year Throughout the event, visitors will also be invited to share ideas for the KiOSK’s next year. This event is free and open to the public.
