Navigating intersections can be confusing. Adding bike signals to busy intersections will help cyclists safely navigate intersections and make the roads more predictable and friendly for all.

In response to community feedback and participation, the Cambridge Council on Aging will continue to offer programming for Cambridge adults age 60 and older at the Russell Youth and Community Center, 680 Huron Ave. Older adults are also invited to enjoy the Center’s Common Area on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Overall Cambridge Arts and the City are distributing more than $300,000 to 60 artists, cultural organizations and grant reviewers via grants and stipends this year through three funding opportunities offered by Cambridge Arts: Organizational Investment Grants, Art for Social Justice Grants, and Local Cultural Council Project Grants.

The City of Cambridge today announced the March schedule for its 7 days per week testing program, including walk-in and appointment-based testing options.

The Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) will be vaccinating homebound residents once the vaccine is available from the state. Currently, CPHD is working with Cambridge Housing Authority, Cambridge Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Council on Aging, Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services, and other City departments to identify, screen, and register homebound individuals for their vaccines, and hopes to begin in-home vaccinations for those eligible sometime in April. This program is for people who would not otherwise be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine unless they receive it in their home. It does not include individuals who are temporarily homebound; and/or able to leave the home with adequate assistance; or those who would prefer to get a vaccine in their home.

Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Pizza will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. Two is a crowd when Peter and his little brother, Fudge, are in the same room. Grown-ups think Fudge is absolutely adorable, but Peter and his pet turtle, Dribble, know the truth. From throwing temper tantrums to smearing mashed potatoes on the wall, Fudge causes mischief wherever he goes! Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Public, regular meeting of the Cambridge American Freedmen Commission's Community Outreach Subcommittee, held online on Tuesday, July 21, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. This meeting will be remote for the public and hybrid for commissioners.
