The Halloween season offers a variety of fun events for children, youth and families across the City of Cambridge. Various city departments will be sponsoring Halloween events in Cambridge. For general Halloween safety, all kids are reminded to wear reflective colors, carry a flashlight when it gets dark, and use extra caution crossing streets. Young children should be accompanied by an adult or a responsible older kid. Additionally, Cambridge Police Officers will be out in various areas of the city engaging with people in the community who are out trick or treating.

Ages 12-18. Craft a felt food, flag, or something else that is special to Hispanic Heritage! Felt, paper and pencil, needle and thread, and wet glue and hot glue will be provided. No registration needed, drop-in. The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. Join us for a FREE water safety event designed specifically for children with Autism, ADHD and other special needs. Learn life-saving skills in a supportive environment. Brought to you by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, Swim Angelfish, the Massachusetts State Police Dive Team, and the City of Cambridge.

The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer programs to Cambridge children and youth currently in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The deadline to apply to the 2025 DHSP Summer Lottery application is Monday, March 9.

Join us each Monday at the Central Square Branch for Chair Yoga, led by experienced instructor Louise Parker. This is an in-person program taking place in the Lewis Room at Central Square. Registration is required for each session. Louise Parker has been practicing yoga for close to 20 years. She is trained in the Yoga Shanti method of practice, which is rooted in the Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions.

Vendor guidelines and application to participate in the World of Food Vending Area of the Cambridge River Festival

Learn the basics of beaded jewelry making and the difference between semi-precious stones and precious stones. Participants will keep all pieces they make. This event will take place in the Rossi Room at the Main Library. Space is limited to 10 participants. Led by Zangar Freeman.
