Celebrate National Moth Week in style! Step 1: Drop by the Collins Branch to make a moth mask with guidance and costume advice from Cambridge Wildlife Arts. Step 2: Debut your mask on the red carpet at the second annual Cambridge Moth Ball on Wednesday, July 23 from 7:30-10 p.m at the Fresh Pond Reservation's Kingsley Park. Learn all about moths and their role in the ecosystem, participate in "mothing," and take photographs of moths. Costumes encouraged for children & adults!

CPD's Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive is Back for Its 19th Year. This program relies solely on generous donations from Cambridge businesses, residents, community members, and CPD employees. Gift bags are organized and distributed to seniors throughout the city on the days leading up to Christmas to remind them that they are not forgotten. The program is a great way to support Local Businesses and Seniors This Holiday Season. Gifts can be dropped off 24/7 at drop boxes in the first-floor main lobby of the Robert W. CDD has completed its annual update to the stock of affordable housing units in the city. There are now 9,021 affordable housing units in the city, a net increase of 90 affordable units from the 2024 total of 8,931 units.

The Summer Food Program provides free and nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to Cambridge youth ages 18 and under every weekday.

Each jam session will be hosted by Cambridge native and saxophonist Bobby Tynes and his amazing all-star rhythm section.

In the next year, the City of Cambridge will invest over $46.3 million into affordable housing.

The City of Cambridge announced today the appointment of 23 members to a new City Manager’s Construction Advisory Group. Representing public health, building trade unions, inspectional and public works officials, contractors, development project managers, and universities, the Advisory Group will provide advice on drafting best practices that the City can incorporate into a safe construction reopening plan.
