The City of Cambridge stands in solidarity with our Haitian and Syrian communities following today’s Supreme Court ruling affecting Temporary Protected Status. We recognize the deep concern and anxiety that many families are likely experiencing as they face losing temporary protections that have allowed them to live, work, and thrive in our city, state, and country.

Based on new data on the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines in pregnant people, the CDC is strongly recommending that people who are pregnant or breastfeeding be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Come explore the nature in our urban backyard! We will take a leisurely walk as we observe and learn together about the animals and plants at Alewife Reservation. You are welcome to bring binoculars, magnifying glasses or any other observational tool. The paths and boardwalks are well maintained but can be muddy in places. The walk will meet at the stone benches by the wetland boardwalk. To view the location in Google Maps and get directions, click here. Limited free parking is available in the Alewife Reservation lot on Acorn Drive. In case of inclement weather, this event will be canceled. Registration is helpful but not required. The Advisory Committee will provide guidance and oversight for the operations of the Cambridge Kiosk in Harvard Square. Through this collaboration, the recently restored landmark is set to become a vibrant cultural incubator, community gathering space, and visitor information center called the Cambridge Kiosk, and is expected to open in early 2025.
