The City of Cambridge will hold a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for dogs only and its annual dog licensing event on Saturday, April 1, from 9-11 a.m., behind the Department of Public Works at 147 Hampshire Street, Cambridge. Cost is $15 per dog. Cash or checks only will be accepted.

The Cambridge Police Department has a number of unique volunteer and employment programs designed specifically for young residents interested in a career in public safety. Through four primary programs —Youth Public Safety Academy, Explorers Program, Youth Police Academy and the Cadet Program — Cambridge youth ages 8-23 years old have several opportunities to gain exposure within the department by meeting with officers, receiving classroom training, gaining hands-on experience, and obtaining valuable leadership skills.

Cambridge Residents may apply for Street Sign, or Public Bench Memorial Dedications by request through a City Councillor. Requests for Memorial Dedications are entered by the sponsoring Councillor as policy orders and are subject to approval at a Regular Meeting of the City Council.

You will learn basic hooping moves while increasing hand-eye coordination, strength, balance, and agility. No prior hooping experience is required. Hoops are provided. After an introduction to the instruments, participants get a chance to bow a violin, blow a horn or tap out a rhythm on a drum. Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers.
