City of Cambridge Announces Increased Investment and Launch of 10th Participatory Budgeting Process
Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a democratic process that empowers community members to help decide how to spend part of a public budget. The City will allocate a record-high $2 million for this year’s process, which doubles the previous budget of $1 million. The PB outreach team will be collecting ideas from the Cambridge community through direct outreach in public spaces and at public events Sept. 11-Oct. 9, 2023.
War Memorial Family Swim
Beginning Tuesday, September 2, the War Memorial Recreation Center (1640 Cambridge St.) will reopen for programming and public swim for the fall season. This year, we are excited to offer free Family Swim through the month of September.
Changes to COVID-19 Case Count Reporting
Beginning Tuesday, April 14, the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) will provide an aggregate count of COVID-19 positive case count data that includes all Cambridge residents (whether they live in a skilled nursing facility or elsewhere in the city).

Shortage of Children’s Fever and Pain Reducing Medications
With so many children sick with respiratory illnesses this winter, pharmacies are having trouble keeping up with demand for children's pain and fever-reducing medications. If you cannot find children’s fever and pain relievers in local stores, the Cambridge Public Health Department has some helpful tips.
