City of Cambridge to Allow Licensed Restaurants to Sell Groceries Directly to Consumers
The City of Cambridge today issued an emergency order allowing restaurants to sell groceries directly to consumers during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The order creates a new opportunity for Cambridge residents to purchase surplus items such as meats, vegetables, dairy, canned goods and other limited grocery items through pick-up or delivery service from local restaurants throughout the city.
City of Cambridge Announces Electric Vehicle Charging Pilot Program
The City of Cambridge announced a new Electric Vehicle Charging Pilot Program that will allow charging of electric vehicles (“EV”) across City sidewalks. The new charging pilot program provides residents without driveway access the opportunity to charge EVs across the public sidewalk by applying for a new Across Sidewalk Electric Vehicle Charging permit.
Roadway Paving of Various Locations
Beginning November 1st, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, E J Paving, will begin performing partial roadway milling and grinding. Paving will begin the week of November 6th.
Partial Roadway Paving Enhancements Scheduled for October 2022
Beginning October 17th, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, E J Paving, will be performing partial roadway grinding and paving operations to enhance the road conditions on several sections of street around the City. The roadway grinding operation at each location is expected take two days followed by paving of the roadway later that same week, or the following week (weather permitting).
