A Look at Two Federal Grants that Benefit Our Community
The City of Cambridge hosted two events this month to showcase the positive impact of federal grants such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Grant (HOME) to our community. Community development activities build stronger and more resilient communities. CDBG funds can be directed toward affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and public services that primarily serve low and moderate income residents.

Let’s make our schools, libraries, and public buildings more accessible for all by adding automatic door openers to entries that are wheelchair accessible but lack this feature. The City will work with the Disabilities Commission to prioritize locations.
Ongoing Collections Care
Following conservation assessments of each artwork in the collection and consultations with artists, an annual maintenance program is developed and directly overseen by the Director of Art Conservation and carried out by contracted conservators or conservation technicians.
