Cambridge Offers Various Summer Opportunities for Youth
Each Summer, the City of Cambridge is committed to ensuring a wide variety of programming for young people to enhance well-being, create more community connections and reduce incidents of violence. Building on many years of commitment to providing comprehensive programming for young people, the Department of Human Service Programs, Community Safety Department, Cambridge Police Department, and the Cambridge Public Health Department work collaboratively to offer various opportunities for youth engagement throughout the summer.
2025 Municipal Election Voting Overview
The Municipal Election will be held on November 4, 2025. Find information regarding voter registration, voting by mail, voting early in-person, voting on Election Day, and specimen ballots for the election. City of Cambridge Launches Sustainable Cambridge and Celebrates Earth Month
The City of Cambridge has officially launched Sustainable Cambridge, a new initiative that encompasses all of Cambridge’s efforts to address climate change while keeping the community welcoming, neighborly, and beautiful. In support of Sustainable Cambridge and Earth Month, the City of Cambridge will host a series of events and feature a variety of activities throughout the rest of April.
Harvard Square Advisory Committee
The Harvard Square Advisory Committee reviews applications for variances and special permits within the Harvard Square Overlay District.
Cambridge Institutional Growth Management Plan
Serves as the policy underpinning the regulation of institutional uses in the zoning code. Assesses the relative impact on residential neighborhoods of institutional uses and serves as a guide to the Board of Zoning Appeal for granting special permits.
